I’m not entirely convinced that it ever made all that much sense. Aside from its disregard for grammatical rules concerning double negatives and understandable confusion about its connections to vegetarianism, the phrase itself isn’t particularly easy to say or even explain for that matter. Why I decided years ago to roll up my design portfolio and employment prospects, such as they were at the time, into as awkward and unwieldy an idea as “raisenochicken” I’ll never know. The phrase just seemed perfectly appropriate at the time.
